BLOXHUB MORNINGS: Sharing Economy in Cities

Date(s):
Thursday 07.12.2017
Location:
Event Room, Fæstningens Materialgård, Frederiksholms Kanal 30, 1220 Copenhagen.

December 7: BLOXHUB mornings is an inspiring series of events focusing on innovation and growth within the field of architecture, construction, urban development and design. This time:Perspectives on the sharing economy and its influence in cities.
Sharing platforms, and specific companies like Airbnb, have a huge impact on the way we live, travel and perceive our cities. As the popularity of these sharing platforms grows, their effects move well beyond the individual, challenging city authorities, traditional policies, tourism boards, rental markets and wider housing perspectives.

At this BLOXHUB Morning we will discuss the latest research on Airbnb and its influence on welfare and housing prices, giving examples on the experiences from Copenhagen, Barcelona, Berlin and Amsterdam. We will also discuss which potential the sharing economy has and how the coexistence between businesses (e.g. Horesta), and companies who are working with it, need to be organized.

IFHP's CEO, Anette Galskjøt will be one of the speakers.
