Theme 2017: New Nodes of Urbanity
The 23rd IFHP Urban Planning and Design Summer School looks for new dwelling and living solutions in the scale of urban block or small neighborhood, without losing sight on the other, linked scales of influence and experience.
The aim is to design New Nodes of Urbanity, including innovative housing solutions that allow rather quick experimentation and realization. Plans should support socially inclusive, spatially adaptive and ecologically rich urbanism. Urban planning mediates between urban scales and rhythms. Typically, housing is mixed with other functions to create attractive, resource-efficient and intensive urban elements.

Who is it for?
The course is addressed to students at all levels of studies, and young professionals. We are looking forward to receiving applications from architects, urban planners, sociologists, geographers and others involved in urban planning.
