TERMS and CONDITIONS
for IFHP membership
1. Effective Date of the membership
1.1. The effective date of the agreement (membership) is the date on which an individual or an organization effects payment of the first membership fee, following a preceding expression of intent via the IFHP website’s membership page, by email, or in writing.
1.2. When registering for corporate membership, the organization must include the name and title of its legal representative.
1.3. The details of these Terms & Conditions are available on the IFHP website at www.ifhp.org.
1.4. The membership can be activated at any time during the year.
2. Rights and obligations
2.1. IFHP offers the membership benefits (according to membership category) as published on the website.
2.2. IFHP may change its membership benefits and fees at any time.
2.3. Each member will be notified individually in writing by IFHP, if membership benefits or fees are changed.
2.4. By effecting first membership payment, the member agrees to being informed digitally or by print about activities of IFHP, unless the member specifically requests IFHP not to do so.
2.5. Furthermore, the member agrees on IFHP to register and use the member’s personal information to the extent necessary according to relevant legislation in force from time to time.
2.6. The membership is personal, and deliverables are not transferable.
2.7. Corporate membership is carried by the legal representative and the deliverables (such as discounts) can only be transferred to other individuals within the organization of the corporate member with the prior consent of IFHP, and cannot be transferred to other individuals outside the organization of the corporate member.
2.8. The corporate member holds two voting rights and two (elected) serving rights on the IFHP Council and IFHP Board.
3. Payment of the membership fees
3.1. The membership fee is invoiced annually during the month of January.
3.2. The payment term is 30 calendar days from the date of the invoice.
3.3. Payment of the membership fee can be made by credit card, PayPal or bank transfer to the bank account of IFHP in Denmark.
3.4. In case of late or no payment by the member, IFHP reserves the right to send reminders to the member and to charge the member with a fee.
4. Cancellation
4.1. The cancellation of this agreement can take place only by written notice forwarded by email or letter either by IFHP or by the member.
4.2. The notice of cancellation must have reached either party before 1 December in the year prior to the calendar year in which membership would have continued automatically.
4.3. Otherwise, membership will automatically be renewed, and this agreement, including these terms and conditions, will remain effective for the next calendar year.
4.4. The agreement terminates at the end of a calendar year on the death of an individual member or the liquidation of a corporate member's organization.
4.5. In case of late or no payment at all by the member, this agreement remains effective and the member remains liable for the due membership fee(s).
5. Final provisions
5.1. The members are not entitled to assign any rights and obligations under this agreement.
5.2. In case of discrepancy the articles of association will supersede these terms and conditions.
